With a backdrop of Ground Zero and the rising Freedom Tower, Joanne M. Steen, award-winning author and national speaker on line-of-duty loss, addressed the 9/11 Canine Search and Rescue (SAR) Community at its historic 10th Anniversary Tribute at Liberty State Park, on September 11, 2011.

Speaking to over 500 members of the SAR Community of 9/11, Steen, herself a military widow, shared a message of healing and gratitude with these men and women who are American heroes in the truest sense.
